Website Rankings

Think enterprise software companies are only for the big guys? Multi-gazillion dollar software solutions that only an army of services professionals can implement? Not anymore. In 2011 these companies are spreading their wings into the worlds of SaaS and eCommerce. The results of the 2011 siteIQ evaluation show how 6 different companies are approaching the complex journey into new ways of packaging and selling their software products to more than just the Fortune 500.  And, by and large, they aren’t even in the same galaxy.

siteIQ evaluated CA.com, IBM Software Group, Oracle.com, SAP.com, SAS.com—and enterprise software newcomer Symantec.com–to identify how effectively these sites meet these challenges. Evaluations were conducted using the siteIQ Enterprise Software Best Practices Benchmark, which measures 1,231 types of content, features & capabilities, plus 119 metrics that measure usability from the visitor’s point of view.

Our 2011 report provides an in-depth look at these sites’ most important strengths & challenges – and shows why Oracle.com and CA.com rank as the 2011 leaders in this segment of the IT Web.

2011 Enterprise Software Star Rankings

Highlights

  • When it comes to marketing, all bets are off. For some, corporate marketing is where it’s at. Others are banking on product marketing selling the goods. Meanwhile, channel marketing ranks as a serious maybe.
  •  CA.com may have come in second overall, but this year it lost the all-important usability crown—albeit only by a hair.
  •  When it comes to online communities none of the frontrunners come close. This year no less than three Websites changed all the rules.

This comprehensive report includes rankings and detailed scoring profiles for each Website in the study.
